Brief Introduction of Junping ZOU: Mr. Junping ZOU is a PhD candidate at Tongji University and his major is Geodesy. He worked in Shanghai Municipal Institute of Surveying and Mapping(SMISM)as Senior Engineer from 2004 to 2015. He was responsible for Shanghai Continuously Operating Reference Station System(SHCORS), including the horizontal and vertical precision, processing GNSS static observation data, providing the RTK&RTD service and geoid service. At the same time Mr. Junping ZOU was in charge of GIS data collecting, data transferring, data transporting and data processing too. During Mr. Junping ZOUs three months' period research visit at University of Stuttgart he focuses on the topic "The application of geomagnetism in indoor positioning” in the frame of our DAAD Thematic Network project "Modern Geodetic Space Techniques for Global Change Monitoring". The topic utilizes the anomalies of the geomagnetic field present to accomplish indoor navigation in indoor environments. These anomalies are caused by ferrous objects such as steel beams and metal cabinets. They perturb the earth’s natural magnetic field, giving each room a unique pattern of magnetic variation. Aiming at the geomagnetic model that has been released, he reviews and summarizes the existing various geomagnetic field model and applies those to indoor environment. |
